WWE NXT Announce Timothy Thatcher Is Out Of Action 'Indefinitely'

Thatcher was attacked by Ridge Holland

WWE have announced that Timothy Thatcher will be 'indefinitely' out of action as a result of the assault from Ridge Holland, Pete Dunne, Oney Lorcan and Danny Burch on this week's NXT.

Thatcher faced off against Holland on the August 24 show, being defeated by the recently-returning Englishman. Following the bout, Holland attacked Thatcher's tag-team partner Tommaso Ciampa, leading to a brawl between him, Dunne and the duo.

Lorcan and a returning Burch came out to help their compatriots and, while Thatcher made a move to go for Dunne outside the ring, Holland struck him in the throat with a truncheon.

WWE have now said on social media that, as a result of the attack, Thatcher will be out of action indefinitely.

As of writing there has been no further details as to what type of injury Thatcher has sustained or even if the injury is part of the storyline or a legitimate setback for the 38-year-old.

Ciampa has been booked to face Holland on next week's NXT as he attempts to get retribution.
