WWE NXT Bringing Back Iron Survivor Challenge For Deadline

Iron Survivor Challenge is coming back at WWE NXT Deadline!

WWE are bringing back the Iron Survivor Challenge for NXT's final major event of the year.

It was previously announced that NXT Deadline will emanate from Total Mortgage Arena in Bridgeport, Connecticut on December 9. Talents advertised for the event include Ilja Dragunov, Carmelo Hayes, Bron Breakker, and Roxanne Perez, among others.

Last year's inaugural edition of NXT Deadline featured the first-ever Iron Survivor Challenge matches and that will be the case again in 2023 following the reveal during NXT Halloween Havoc night two that qualifying matches for the Iron Survivor Challenge will begin next week.

Grayson Waller and Roxanne Perez won last year's matches. Perez went on to win the NXT Women's Championship from Mandy Rose, while Waller failed to capture the NXT Title from Bron Breakker at New Year's Evil, losing by count-out.

The rules for the Iron Survivor Challenge are as follows:

  • Five superstars will compete in this unique 25-minute Match as they battle each other and the clock.  Ezoic
  • Two superstars will start the match and every five minutes a new superstar will enter the match until all five are in the ring.
  • The goal is to have the most falls when the clock hits 25 minutes.
  • Falls can be won at any time via pinfall, submission or disqualification.
  • When a superstar scores a fall they will earn one point.
  • However, when a superstar loses a fall, that superstar must pay the penalty. They are forced out of the ring and into a penalty box for 90 seconds.
  • Once the 90 seconds are up, the superstar can re-enter the match.
  • The superstar who has scored the most falls when the clock hits 25 minutes will be named the Iron Survivor.
