WWE NXT Call-Ups Under Consideration For Rey Mysterio Vs. Santos Escobar Programme

A WWE NXT tag team might be moving back to the main roster.
Angel Garza and Humberto Carrillo have been a part of NXT since the Summer of 2023. They have already survived one brief split and have begun teaming together again, having recently lost to the Creed Brothers in a Tables, Ladders, and Scares Match match at Halloween Havoc night two on October 31.
Garza and Humberto could be heading back to the main roster, though, and Dave Meltzer has reported on Wrestling Observer Radio that one idea for the former Los Lotharios was for them to unite with Santos Escobar as part of his upcoming group vs. group feud with Rey Mysterio.
"Los Lotharios were one of the ideas was for them to join Santos. And actually, originally, before the Rey-Santos thing, there was talk of them joining with Rey. That's definitely been in conversations," Meltzer said.
Santos Escobar turned on Rey Mysterio on the post-Crown Jewel edition of Friday Night SmackDown. The LWO has since been split and a group vs. group programme will begin when Mysterio returns from injury. The 48-year-old was written off TV by the Escobar attack and he has since undergone knee surgery.
