WWE's internal music group Def Rebel drew the ire of NXT fans at the WWE Performance Center on Tuesday night after Jordynne Grace debuted new entrance music on the show.
Grace went one-on-one with Lola Vice in an Evolution Eliminator Match and received new entrance music that was a remix of her original WWE theme, which she had used for several years during her run with TNA Wrestling. Once the match got underway, fans began to chant "Fire Def Rebel", although it has not been confirmed if Def Rebel actually produced the new theme for Grace.
Jordynne Grace went on to win her match against Lola Vice. The former TNA Knockouts World Champion will face Lash Legend, Jaida Parker, and Izzi Dame in a four-way on June 24 to determine the challenger for Jacy Jayne's NXT Women's Title at Evolution.
Def Rebel have long been criticised by WWE fans and talent due to many of their produced themes sounding similar. Def Rebel's entrance music even became a meme in 2024, with WWE aware of the criticism aimed at the group.
It is unknown how long Def Rebel will remain a part of WWE, but it was reported in September 2024 that WWE would not be continuing their partnership with the group when Def Rebel's contract expires.
