Report: WWE NXT Retapes Karrion Kross Segment Following "Hardy" Chants

The NXT Champion was showered with chants

Karrion Kross's debut loss on Monday Night Raw to Jeff Hardy has had unintended consequences.

WWE taped the July 27 and August 3 editions of NXT yesterday at the Capitol Wrestling Center and one of the final segments at the tapings involved a confrontation between Samoa Joe and Karrion Kross.

The NXT Champion reportedly cut a promo during the August 3 taping which led to Joe trying to get at the NXT Champion. Joe would end up attacking several security guards but Kross would bail from the ring before The Samoan Submission Machine could reach him.

This was the first time Kross had appeared in front of a live crowd since his Raw debut loss and the NXT audience showered The Herald Of Doomsday with "Hardy" chants, according to Trent Osborne of Bodyslam.net

As a result, NXT decided to reshoot the segment at the end of the tapings and WWE reportedly lied to fans inside the Capitol Wrestling Center to ensure they remained in the building.

"They even lied to us and said something special was going to happen so we wouldn't leave. [A Crew Member] told me the show wasn't over. When [we] tried to leave, he told us there was a surprise," a source told Osborne.

The bitter rivalry between Samoa Joe and Kross will continue to develop over the next couple of weeks and you can find out what their feud will lead to here.
