WWE NXT Talent Uses Journey's 'Separate Ways' As Entrance Music Ahead Of Halloween Havoc

Journey plays out in the WWE Performance Center ahead of NXT Halloween Havoc for Brooks Jensen

In a rare moment, WWE used licensed music earlier this week for one of their wrestlers' entrances.

Brooks Jensen was in action ahead of night two of WWE NXT Halloween Havoc as he went one-on-one with Oba Femi in a dark match. Instead of using his usual entrance music for himself and Josh Briggs, Jensen made his way to the ring to Journey's 'Separate Ways (Worlds Apart).'

The moment was an unexpected surprise for the fans in attendance as they began to sing along to the popular track but it is unclear if WWE plan to license the song for TV broadcasts. Jensen is hopeful, though, as he tweeted: "Maybe we’ll see it on tv... Someday #WWENXT."

Jensen ultimately picked up the win in his match, defeating Oba Femi after six minutes.

'Separate Ways' was released as part of Journey's Frontiers album back in 1983. It has seen somewhat of a renaissance in popularity in recent years after it was featured in season four of Stranger Things.

WWE rarely use licensed music for broadcasts but the practice is common in All Elite Wrestling, with the likes of 'Carry on Wayward Son' by Kansas, 'Jane' by Jefferson Starship, and 'Final Countdown' by Europe all being used for AEW TV and pay-per-views in 2023.
