WWE are hoping to bring Sting back for one night only in order to induct Lex Luger into the Hall of Fame.

Luger will finally receive his long overdue place in the HOF as part of the class of 2025, and when his induction was announced most fans wondered if WWE would be able to get Luger’s real-life close friend and former tag partner Sting in to perform the induction.

Whilst Sting retired from in-ring competition in March 2024, he is still under contract with All Elite Wrestling. However, a report from Fightful Select suggests that WWE are planning to ‘make overtures’ into getting Sting back for one night, although Sting has previously stated he is unsure if he’d be able to appear at the ceremony due to his AEW deal. It is not known if AEW would need to sign off on Sting appearing at the HOF or not, with Sting under some sort of legends deal with the company rather than an active performer’s deal.

Regardless, Luger has made it known both to WWE and publicly that he’d like Sting to induct him if possible, with Luger also wanting Diamond Dallas Page on the podium with him.
