WWE have settled a lawsuit with a fan who sued them in September 2024.

Richard Bryant filed a lawsuit against the company alleging that he suffered injuries while attending a WWE show due to the company's "negligence and carelessness" relating to the use of pyrotechnics.

According to the suit, Bryant sustained "traumatic rupture of his right ear drum, bilateral tinnitus, hearing loss in his right ear, psychological harm" while claiming that he has incurred and is likely to incur future expenses for his medical treatment. He had been seeking $15,000 in damages.

The United States District Court for the District of Connecticut noted that there is a planned settlement in place between Bryant and WWE.

WWE may be settling that lawsuit, but they still have some legal issues to deal with after the Maryland Supreme Court ruled that the ring boys lawsuit against the company can move forward.

Following that news, additional plaintiffs were added to the lawsuit, which named WWE, TKO, Vince McMahon and Linda McMahon as defendants.

WWE also face fresh questions after lawyers for Janel Grant submitted an amended lawsuit that alleged Vince McMahon instructed Grant to produce pornographic content for Michael Hayes.

Despite being named in the suit, Hayes still worked backstage at the Royal Rumble as a producer.
