More Plaintiffs Join Ring Boys Lawsuit Against WWE, Vince McMahon & Linda McMahon
More former ring boys have come forward

Additional plaintiffs have been added to the lawsuit filed by former ring boys against WWE, TKO, Vince McMahon and Linda McMahon.
A press release from DiCello Levitt, one of the law firms representing the former ring boys, stated:
"Since the lawsuit was filed in October, additional survivors have come forward to seek justice and accountability for what happened to them."
The press release was in response to a Maryland Supreme Court ruling which stated the Maryland Child Victims Act was constitutional. The act removed the statute of limitations for civil lawsuits involving child sex abuse, including when negligence may have led to abuse.
Greg Gutzler - the lead attorney in the ring boys lawsuit - said:
"The Maryland Supreme Court's decision upholding the Maryland Child Victims Act, effectively eliminating any statute of limitations on child sex abuse lawsuits, is the right one, and we hope other states will follow Maryland's lead. Survivors of sexual assault, especially children, often do not come forward for years or even decades after the abuse occurred. This delayed disclosure happens for numerous reasons - shame, fear, or manipulation - and it has too often prevented survivors from ever seeking justice and getting accountability. It also has allowed perpetrators to continue hurting countless innocent people.
"My clients' lives were destroyed by the defendants who allowed and enabled the open, rampant sexual abuse to occur for years. The abuse inflicted on my clients was inexcusable; they were mere children and had the right to expect that WWE executives would take action to protect them from the predators working within the WWE. We will bring light to their truth and fight for accountability and justice."
Five former WWE ring boys filed a lawsuit in October 2024 in the Circuit Court for Baltimore County, Maryland. The lawsuit has alleged the defendants were aware of the sexual abuse carried out by Mel Phillips but did nothing to prevent or stop it.
Phillips is alleged to have groomed, exploited, and sexually abused children who were WWE ring boys. These were underage boys who used to help set up the ring at WWE events in the 1980s and 1990s. Terry Garvin was the head of the ring boy crew, while Mel Phillips worked under him.
