WWE Releases Storyline Update On Ricochet

WWE provides update on Ricochet following Raw

WWE have provided a storyline update on Ricochet following the June 10 episode of Monday Night Raw.

Taking to X (FKA Twitter), WWE wrote: "BREAKING: After suffering a brutal attack at the hands of @bronbreakkerwwe this past Monday on #WWERaw@KingRicochet will be out of action for an undisclosed amount of time with upper body injuries."

Ricochet was laid out by Bron Breakker in a backstage attack on Raw that saw the former NXT Champion first launch Ricochet into the side of a production truck before Breakker put his rival through a car windshield with a powerslam. Ricochet was later shown being taken away in an ambulance with Samantha Irvin at his side.

The plan was for the backstage attack to write Ricochet off WWE TV as he has reportedly given his notice to the company. Ricochet's deal is believed to expire in July and WWE expect the former Intercontinental Champion to sign with All Elite Wrestling.

AEW CEO Tony Khan was asked about Ricochet by TV Insider, but he simply said: "If it's okay, I'd rather not get into wrestlers that still work for someone else."

Ricochet has been signed with WWE since 2018. In addition to his Intercontinental Title reign, Ricochet is also a former United States Champion and NXT North American Champion.
