On Sunday, NXT held their first major event since February as NXT TakeOver: In Your House was broadcast from Full Sail University and a backlot. The show received a positive reaction and the only match which garnered a mixed response was the Backlot Brawl between Adam Cole and The Velveteen Dream.
13-time world champion Randy Orton tweeted about the event yesterday and made a joke about NXT Superstars slapping their legs when delivering Superkicks.
Orton wrote: "Heard #WWENXT #TakeoverInYourHouse was great! Slappin my leg for you guys. Sincerely #legslap."
Former NXT Champion Tommaso Ciampa took exception to Randy's comments, however, as he said Orton's matches are so boring they help his daughter go to sleep.
The Blackheart replied: "My daughter has been having trouble sleeping. Luckily I found a remedy. Randy Orton matches. Better than NyQuil. Sincerely #AnEntireLockerRoomWhoBustedTheirAsses."
This only resulted in The Viper comparing the black and gold brand to a wrestling school.
"Looks like I hurt the feelings of the self appointed lockeroom leader of a wrestling school," Orton tweeted back. "Let me know what time #legslap class starts so I can take my game to the next level."
