RESULTS BEGIN

Before the in-ring action can get underway, WWE Chief Content Officer and friend of Donald Trump, Paul "Triple H" Levesque, opened the show and announced it was the biggest SummerSlam in history.

Naomi (c) def. Rhea Ripley & IYO SKY - Triple Threat for the Women's World Championship

The Women's World Title was on the line in the opening contest of night two of SummerSlam and Naomi initially spilled to the outside, but the two challengers soon forced her into the ring and briefly worked together to attack the Women's World Champion until Rhea Ripley accidentally took out IYO SKY.

Naomi remained on top for the next several minutes, dismantling both of her opponents, including biting Rhea Ripley's hand and springboard kicking Rhea Ripley, which led to Ripley hitting IYO SKY with a DDT. Eventually the babyfaces fought back with a Shotgun Dropkick and 619 from IYO SKY and a Release German Suplex from Rhea Ripley.

This brought the match down to Rhea Ripley vs. IYO SKY for a spell, with Ripley initially getting the better of the exchange with an Electric Chair Drop. SKY then scored a near fall with an inside cradle before applying a Crossface. Another near fall followed following a Poisonrana from SKY, but Naomi broke up the pin.

The action spilled to the outside soon after and IYO SKY hit an Asai Moonsault to take down both Rhea Ripley and Naomi. Meteoras to Ripley and Naomi followed back in the ring. SKY was halted after Ripley pushed IYO into the ring post from the top rope, with Naomi hitting a Split-Legged Moonsault to Rhea Ripley before SKY hit a Moonsault to Rhea after Naomi got out of dodge while trying to pin the Aussie.

Soon after, Rhea Ripley hit a Riptide to Naomi out of nowhere and was about to win when IYO SKY broke up the pin. SKY followed up with a Sunset Flip Powerbomb to Rhea Ripley on the outside, dumping Ripley on top of Naomi. SKY then set up for the Moonsault, but Ripley caught her and soon hit an Avalanche Riptide. Ripley made the cover but, out of nowhere, Naomi swooped into the match and rolled up Ripley for the win.

The Wyatt Sicks (c) def. Motor City Machine Guns (Alex Shelley & Chris Sabin), The Street Profits (Montez Ford & Angelo Dawkins), #DIY (Tommaso Ciampa & Johnny Gargano), Fraxiom (Axiom & Nathan Frazer) & Andrade & Rey Fenix - Six-Pack TLC Match for the WWE Tag Team Championships

The Dudley Boyz and The Hardys were shown sitting at ringside for the Six-Pack TLC Match for the WWE Tag Team Titles prior to the match and when the in-ring action got underway, the challenger teams immediately went after Joe Gacy and Dexter Lumis of the Wyatt Sicks before they started brawling with themselves.

It took no time at all for ladders to be introduced, with MCMG dropkicking a ladder into #DIY before Alex Shelley and Chris Sabin took out Tommaso Ciampa and Johnny Gargano with stereo suicide dives. Soon after, Joe Gacy launched a steel chair at Axiom while he was on the top rope and it hit him twice by mistake. Gacy then had a rough spot when The Street Profits tried to Back Body Drop him into the ladder and missed. They repeated the spot and Gacy hit it at the second time of asking.

Rey Fenix then almost grabbed the titles by jumping on Angelo Dawkins' shoulders in a fun spot. Montez Ford then hit a Swanton over the ring post and took out Fraxiom on the outside. #DIY then touched the titles but they were dropped by steel chair shots from MCMG. Shelley and Sabin sent Joe Gacy bouncing into a standing steel chair with a Dropkick/Flatliner combo.

Johnny Gargano followed up with One Final Beat through a table to Joe Gacy before Dexter Lumis hit a Leg Drop to Montez Ford through a table. Rey Fenix then hit a Frog Splash to Nathan Frazer through a table before Axiom wiped out Angelo Dawkins with a Spanish Fly from the top turnbuckle through a table on the outside.

Candice LeRae tried to interfere with everyone down, but B-Fab stopped her. Nikki Cross then stopped B-Fab with a Back Suplex from halfway up the ladder. Candice LeRae climbed the ladder and grabbed the titles, but Montez Ford dropkicked Gargano into the ladder and sent LeRae crashing through a ladder bridge on the outside.

Montez Ford was then about to win, but he was pushed from the ladder by Erick Rowan. The Street Profits soon turned the tide, though, and laid out Rowan with steel chair shots before he was driven through a table with double shoulder tackles from Montez Ford and Angelo Dawkins.

Tommaso Ciampa then found himself hanging from the titles and he somehow dodged a Spear from a ladder by Nathan Frazer by doing a big pull-up. Frazer then went for a Lionsault but jumped straight into a Superkick from Gargano.

Gargano helped Ciampa back onto a ladder but Tommaso was halted by a Montez Ford leap straight onto the ladder. Two ladders were then set up, and four teams tried to grab the belts, but Uncle Howdy dispatched of Axiom and Montez Ford by pushing them off a ladder. #DIY were then sent through a pile of tables on the outside with a ladder push from Bo Dallas.

Uncle Howdy then scaled the ladder and stopped Nathan Frazer from bringing him down with a Mandible Claw. Uncle Howdy then got rid of Rey Fenix with another Mandible Claw, but Andrade wiped him out with a Sunset Flip Powerbomb onto a ladder.

Rey Fenix climbed the ladder but took a battering from Dexter Lumis and Joe Gacy, who then threw out Andrade. Joe Gacy then unhooked the titles for Wyatt Sicks to retain the WWE Tag Team Championships.

Becky Lynch (c) def. Lyra Valkyria - No DQ Match for the WWE Women's Intercontinental Championship

After making her way to the ring to new entrance music, Becky Lynch defended the WWE Women's Intercontinental Title against Lyra Valkyria, with the stipulation that Valkyria could not challenge for the title again while Lynch is champion if she lost at SummerSlam.

Weapons were quickly introduced as Becky Lynch grabbed a kendo stick and Lyra Valkyria got her hands on a crowbar. As expected, the crowbar beat the kendo stick and Valkyria was on top for the next several minutes until Lynch turned the tide and battered her opponent with the kendo stick, scoring a near fall following a kendo-assisted Russian Leg Sweep.

Becky next opened a toolbox and zip-tied Valkyria's hands together, with Lyra being hit with a wrench by the Women's Intercontinental Champion, including with a Jumping Wrench Punch. The challenger still kicked out, however. Multiple Bexploder Suplexes followed before Becky clunked Valkyria's head off the steel steps and hung her from the ring post, which led to more kendo stick shots.

Lynch attempted the Manhandle Slam but Valkyria blocked it and hit a Belly-to-Belly Suplex. The zip ties briefly came undone, but Valkyria put her hand back in them as she took the offence to Lynch, scoring a near fall following a moonsault. Valkyria then bounced Lynch's head off the steel chair before she removed the top turnbuckle cover.

This gave Lynch time to recover and she sent Valkyria to the outside, only for Lyra to disappear under the ring and blast Becky with a fire extinguisher. Valkyria then went back under the ring and freed herself of the zip ties which allowed Lyra to hit Lynch over and over again with a kendo stick. A Dropkick to the outside sent a steel chair bouncing into Lynch's face, and Lyra next hit a Nightwing from the steel steps onto the floor.

Back in the ring, Valkyria ran into the uncovered turnbuckle and ate a Manhandle Slam onto two chairs, but the challenger kicked out once again, leaving Lynch stunned. Lynch took out her frustration on Valkyria, bouncing her head over and over again off a steel chair before trapping Lyra in a chair and driving her into the announce table. Valkyria fought back briefly, but she was then swung into the ring post while she was still in the chair. Lynch then trapped Valkyria in the announce table while she was still in the chair and followed up with a diving kick.

Lynch then moved to use the crowbar, but Bayley grabbed it from her fellow Four Horsewoman. Lynch urged Bayley to use the weapon on Lyra but she instead threw away the weapon. Becky tried to use a chain against Bayley but Bayley blocked it and sent Lynch into the barricade on multiple occasions. Lynch dodged a Running Knee to send Bayley into the crowd and Lyra Valkyria suddenly hit her Leg Drop finisher out of nowhere to send Lynch through a table.

Back in the ring, Valkyria escaped a Manhandle Slam attempt and Bayley went for a steel chain punch to Lynch, but Becky ducked and Bayley instead decked Lyra. Lynch then connected with another Manhandle Slam for the victory.

Solo Sikoa (c) def. Jacob Fatu - Steel Cage Match for the WWE United States Championship

Jacob Fatu looked to regain the United States Championship in the next match at SummerSlam inside a steel cage against his cousin Solo Sikoa.

The early going saw Solo Sikoa on top, including a Body Splash into the cage, as he taunted his former faction mate. Solo eventually tried to just waltz out but Jacob grabbed the champion's leg. This prompted Solo to go for a Samoan Spike but Fatu dodged it and fought back into the match with a big lariat.

Fatu proceeded to bounce Sikoa off the cage before Solo countered with a cage bounce of his own, only for Fatu to no sell it and fire back with a Senton and running bottom to the face in the corner. Two Best Moonsaults Ever followed, but Solo kicked out at two.

With Solo in trouble, the rest of MFT arrived but Jimmy Uso arrived and took down JC Mateo and Tonga Loa before Talla Tonga decked Big Jim with a Big Boot and threw him over the announce table. Fatu then could have won by escaping through the door but he shut it and walked straight into a Samoan Spike from Solo. That looked to be it but Fatu kicked out at two.

Jacob Fatu then tried to escape over the cage, but Tonga Loa and Talla Tonga proceeded to climb into the cage, with Talla handcuffing Jacob to the top of the cage. The handcuffs were rubbish, though, and Fatu quickly broke them as Solo tried to escape through the door and stopped the champion from escaping.

Sikoa then got halfway out the door before Jacob Fatu grabbed him again, only for Talla Tonga to Big Boot the door into Fatu's head. This allowed Sikoa to escape for the victory.

Post-match, Jacob Fatu was allowed to look strong as he beat down Tonga Loa and JC Mateo and took them both out with a BME from the top of the cage.

Dominik Mysterio (c) def. AJ Styles - WWE Intercontinental Championship

AJ Styles got in Dominik Mysterio's head in the semi-main event by making his way to the ring in a low rider and wearing the same gear that Eddie Guerrero wore for the Custody of Dominik Ladder Match at SummerSlam 2005. This allowed Styles to be on top in the early going but Mysterio soon fought back by pulling out Styles' legs from under him on the apron before a dive to the outside and a Senton into the ring.

Styles fired back with a Tornado DDT and Pele Kick before he missed a Phenomenal Forearm attempt and ran straight into a Michinoku Driver, with Styles getting his shoulder up at two. Three Amigos from AJ followed soon after before Styles went for a Frog Splash, but Dirty Dom got his knees up and followed up with a 619. Mysterio then went for a Frog Splash of his own but AJ countered into a Calf Crusher. Dom quickly reached the ropes, however.

Styles then slid straight into the middle turnbuckle, with Dom removing the turnbuckle cover. Mysterio then grabbed a steel chair while the official was distracted and did the Eddie lying, cheating, and stealing spot, only for AJ to put the chair around his own head. All this would have done is have AJ win by DQ and thus not the title, but the referee just looked confused before the action resumed. Fun spot nonetheless.

Both men hurt their nether regions on the ropes next before AJ applied the Calf Crusher once again. In a callback to WrestleMania 20, Mysterio's boot came off and Dominik hit Styles with the boot when Styles almost took out the referee. A Frog Splash followed for the win as Dominik retained.

Cody Rhodes def. John Cena (c) - Street Fight for the Undisputed WWE Championship

Main event time as Cody Rhodes looked to regain the Undisputed WWE Championship he lost at WrestleMania 41 to tonight's opponent in John Cena, this time in a Street Fight. There were plenty of questions heading into the match, though, including how Cena's babyface turn would affect the match and whether The Rock would make an appearance.

Cena was full babyface for his entrance, coming out with his old titantron and running to the ring with the WWE Championship around his waist. Such was Cena as a babyface that there was big boos for Cody Rhodes during the in-ring introductions and huge cheers for Big Match John.

Cena hugged Cody in the opening moments before they proceeded to throw punches at each other. The action then spilled to the floor and they took turns throwing each other into the steel steps. Cena then stole a crutch from Tyrese Haliburton and decked Cody with it. Cody fired back with a Powerslam on the steel steps, drawing further boos inside MetLife Stadium. Cena fired back by pushing Cody to the floor before he proceeded to launch the steel steps at Cody from inside the ring to the outside.

Cody wasn't too hurt as he soon hit Cena with a Disaster Kick. Steel chairs were then introduced and Cody won the battle but lost the war as Cena sent Cody's head into a steel chair in between the turnbuckles. Vintage Cena followed with the five moves of doom before an AA attempt which Cody avoided and channelled his inner Dusty Rhodes with a Bionic Elbow. Rhodes followed up with a Cody Cutter, with Cena kicking out at two.

From out of nowhere, Cena hit an Attitude Adjustment and Cody got his shoulder up. A Moonsault from Rhodes followed before the latest near fall in the contest. Another Disaster Kick led to another near fall before another two count following a Cody Cutter.

Out of nowhere, Cena hit a Piledriver but Cena kicked out at two. Cena was limp following the move, but he managed to hit a sudden Attitude Adjustment when Rhodes picked him up. Cena couldn't make the cover, though, and both men traded shots when they got back to their feet. Rhodes hit a Pop-Up Powerbomb but Cena countered the pin into an STF, with Cody escaping soon after.

Cena hit Cody with a microphone on the outside before he followed up with a Code Red on the floor. Cena then put Cody Rhodes through the announce table with a huge Attitude Adjustment, but Rhodes was able to kick out by the time they re-entered the ring. Cena tried to follow up but ran straight into the turnbuckles and ate a Cross Rhodes from Cody, but it was only enough for two. Cody went for a Superplex but Cena blocked it and hit a Leg Drop from the top before a fourth AA. Once again, though, Cody kicked out.

Soon after, the action spilled into the crowd inside MetLife Stadium and Cena used the metal barricade to hit Cody before Rhodes hit a Suplex on the same barricade once he escaped an AA attempt. The two competitors then spilled under the stage and came out through the elevator shift with Rhodes on Cena's shoulders. This led to a fifth Attitude Adjustment, this time on the entrance ramp.

Cena dragged Cody back to the ring, but Cody immediately rallied and hurled Cena through the table from earlier and busted out another Cross Rhodes, but it only scored two. An angry Cena then unscrewed the bottom rope and used the metal turnbuckle to batter Cena, drawing boos, something which upset Cody.

Rhodes began to look conflicted as he went to use the metal pole again, but he did it anyway, drawing even more boos. Cody went to use the pole a third time but Cena countered into an STF and used the bottom rope to choke Rhodes in another callback to Royal Rumble 2007. Cody managed to escape and choked Cena with the rope, only for Cena to have his own escape.

Big Match John went low and went for the AA but Cody countered into a Triple Cross Rhodes. Unlike Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 40, however, John Cena kicked out at two. Rhodes questioned what he had to do and grabbed the WWE Title. In a callback to WrestleMania 41, Cody went to use the belt but ran straight into an AA. Cena hit another one then threw away the belt and hit a Super AA. That was surely it but no! Cody kicked out again!

Cena set up for another Super AA, this time through a table, but Cody escaped and hit a sort of Cutter through the table before saluting John and hitting another Cross Rhodes, this time for the 1-2-3.

Following the match, John Cena handed Cody Rhodes the WWE Title belt and the two tearful men embraced. Cena and Cody then shook hands and Cody raised Cena's arm before Cody headed to the back.

With Cena in the ring alone, Brock Lesnar's music suddenly filled MetLife Stadum and he proceeded to take out Cena with an F5 to end SummerSlam.
