WWE Talents Frustrated By Triple H's Response To Vince McMahon Lawsuit

Triple H's response to the Vince McMahon lawsuit fuels frustration within WWE

WWE talents weren't impressed by Triple H's Royal Rumble press conference.

The Royal Rumble on January 27 took place in the aftermath of Vince McMahon being accused of sex trafficking, sexual assault, and physical and emotional abuse in a lawsuit filed by former WWE employee Janel Grant. John Laurinaitis was also named as a defendant, but he has since claimed he was also a victim. WWE have been accused of attempting to cover up the allegations against Vince McMahon in the lawsuit too.

McMahon then announced his resignation as TKO Executive Chairman on Friday, January 26. Triple H was asked about the lawsuit, particularly if he had read the suit during the post-Royal Rumble press conference. The WWE Chief Content Officer's response was roundly criticised after he claimed he hadn't read the lawsuit and that it had been an "amazing" week for the company.

That criticism extended into WWE, with Haus of Wrestling claiming they had spoken to members of the WWE roster who expressed frustration with Triple H's demeanour and responses about the situation at the Royal Rumble press conference. According to separate reports, there has been a lot of trauma amongst WWE's female talent since the lawsuit was filed and there are fears the situation will become "crazier" if more victims come forward.

Alongside the lawsuit, the allegations against McMahon are under federal investigation and have been for months. Despite this, he was still appointed TKO Executive Chairman in September 2023 when the WWE-UFC merger was completed.
