WWE Talks With Free Agent Break Down

Talks between WWE and a free agent are believed to have broken down, per reports.

According to a report from PWInsider, contract talks between WWE and former NWA Women’s World Champion Kamille have come to an end, and whilst it was previously assumed that Kamille would end up in WWE it now seems that as of writing she is not expected to join the company.

WWE sources told PWInsider that an NXT deal had been tabled for Kamille at one point, with Kamille having officially become a free agent after the expiration of her NWA deal at the beginning of January.

Whilst talks between Kamille and WWE are seemingly dead, it has been reported that talks between Kamille and All Elite Wrestling are ongoing, with the two sides said to be in ‘deep discussion’ about a deal. Kamille has appeared on an AEW broadcast before to set up an NWA Women’s Championship match with Leyla Hirsch on an episode of Dynamite in 2021, and was backstage at a Dynamite taping in late January 2024. 

It’s believed that AEW could be a preferable option for Kamille as the lighter schedule would allow her to explore more acting opportunities, with Kamille set to portray June Byers in an upcoming biopic on the legendary Mildred Burke.
