WWE have teased a new challenger to Roman Reigns and the Universal Championship being revealed on this week's Friday Night SmackDown.

Reigns is heading into SmackDown on the back of a victory over Raw's WWE Champion Big E at Survivor Series 2021 on Sunday, and is on the hunt for a new opponent to step up and try to take the Universal Title from him.

A recent post on Twitter by WWE suggests The Tribal Chief's next challenger will become apparent this Friday, asking 'who will be brave enough to step up to Universal Champion Roman Reigns?'

The accompanying video package drew attention to an assortment of potential challengers to The Head Of The Table, highlighting the likes of Drew McIntyre, Jeff Hardy, Sheamus, Cesaro, Happy Corbin, Jinder Mahal, Xavier Woods, and Kofi Kingston.

WWE also revealed at Survivor Series that Brock Lesnar's indefinite suspension was no longer 'indefinite', meaning there is potential for The Beast to return and confront the man he lost to at WWE Crown Jewel in October.
