WWE Using Old Footage For Video Packages

WWE splicing old clips into video packages

WWE's current crowd reactions seemingly aren't good enough for Vince McMahon's company.

During a video package showcasing Happy Corbin and Madcap Moss' feud ahead of their WrestleMania Backlash match on Sunday, WWE used a reaction from a March 2012 episode of Raw featuring Brock Lesnar Guy and spliced it into the package, with WWE trying to pass it off as a reaction to Madcap Moss attacking Corbin on a recent edition of SmackDown.

Why exactly WWE didn't just use images of the crowd from the episode of SmackDown in which the attack took place is currently unclear.

The company did something similar during a recent episode of WWE Evil on Stephanie McMahon as crowd shots from the Eddie Guerrero tribute show were used to make it appear they were fan reactions to a 1999 segment involving Stephanie and Triple H.

WWE have tried to alter programming for the fans watching at home for many years, with crowd sweetening and fake chants being a common occurrence on the company's shows.
