WWE Working On Hulk Hogan Appearance For WrestleMania 40

Update on Hulk Hogan's WWE WrestleMania 40 status

WWE are looking to bring in a controversial legend for WrestleMania 40.

According to Mike Johnson of PWInsider, WWE are working on bringing in Hulk Hogan for WrestleMania 40 week, although there is no word on what Hogan's involvement will be in Philadelphia. Hogan last appeared on WWE programming earlier this year when he popped up on a January episode of Monday Night Raw to celebrate the 40-year anniversary of the birth of Hulkamania. Hogan teased coming out of retirement at the Royal Rumble as part of his appearance but the pay-per-view ultimately came and went without the Hulkster.

Hogan has teased having one more match for years, despite having 23 surgeries since his most recent in-ring outing in 2012. The 70-year-old would be unable to pass a WWE physical should he ever commit to making a comeback.

Hogan has become more infamous for his repeated wild claims on podcasts. His most recent claim saw Hogan suggest Paramount wanted to make him the next John Wayne

WrestleMania 40 will emanate from Philadelphia's Lincoln Financial Field on April 6 and April 7. WWE have approached another legend in "Stone Cold" Steve Austin about being involved with the show.
