Update On Steve Austin's Status For WWE WrestleMania 40

More on Steve Austin’s WWE WrestleMania 40 status

With WrestleMania XL over a week away, there’s still plenty of time for WWE to lock in deals, with overtures being made to notable company legends ahead of the 40th WrestleMania event.

Rumours this past week suggested that iconic WWE hall of famer ‘Stone Cold’ Steve Austin could be set for Mania XL, alongside the likes of The Undertaker, John Cena, and Hulk Hogan. An update from PWInsider confirms that WWE have indeed reached out to the ‘Texas Rattlesnake’ to be involved with WrestleMania weekend, but what Austin could be doing for Mania remains tight-lipped.

Whilst Austin could be brought in for media appearances and meet and greats, it’s been heavily speculated that Austin could play a role in the Roman Reigns and The Rock vs. Cody Rhodes and Seth Rollins tag match on Mania Night One, with Rock’s viral beatdown of Rhodes alluding to Austin’s involvement in the match.

‘Stone Cold’ last wrestled at WrestleMania 38, taking on Kevin Owens in a main event brawl to close out Night One. Austin memorably triumphed over The Rock at WrestleMania XV and X-Seven during the Attitude Era, with Rock finally defeating Austin to retire him at WrestleMania XIX.
