WWE's Bayley Undergoes Surgery On Torn ACL

Bayley suffered a torn ACL last week

Bayley has taken to social media to reveal she has undergone surgery, after suffering a torn ACL last week.

The former SmackDown Women's Champion was confirmed by WWE as being injured last Friday, sustaining a torn ACL while she trained in one of the rings at the WWE Performance Center. It was noted that the injury happened while Bayley was chain-wrestling with another WWE wrestler in what was described as a 'freak accident'.

The promotion expects Bayley to be out of action for around nine months and the Role Model has now taken to social media to update fans on her condition, sharing a photo of herself from a hospital bed.

Keeping up her heel persona, and the stance she's taken on her injury since it was announced, Bayley continued to blame the WWE Universe for her set-back, writing on Twitter: "Can’t wait to miss the first show in front of fans again. I blame YOU for this. Thanks a lot."

Bayley was scheduled to challenge SmackDown Women’s Champion Bianca Belair in an 'I Quit' match at the WWE Money In the Bank pay-per-view on Sunday, but the match was cancelled following Bayley's injury. Instead, Belair will defend the Title against Carmella on Friday Night SmackDown.
