AEW Not Planning To Hold US Stadium Show In The 'Immediate Future'

Tony Khan on rumours of a major show planned for Dallas/Arlington area

All Elite Wrestling are not planning to hold a stadium show in the United States in the "immediate future", according to the company's CEO Tony Khan.

Khan's comments come after reports noted that AEW are planning to hold a "major-scale event" in the Dallas/Arlington area in 2025 and teases have suggested the major event could be a stadium show on par with the promotion's biggest show. It was further noted that a major AEW event in the Dallas area could be officially announced by the end of 2024.

Addressing the reports while speaking to ComicBook, Tony Khan stated:

"It's not something that we would be looking to do anytime here in the immediate future. But it is an exciting idea and something I think that we absolutely could do and something that would be very interesting.

"I can't comment on the accuracy of such reports or the immediate future, but we've had great shows over the years in Texas. We've never done an AEW pay-per-view in Texas. We've done a lot of Ring of Honor pay-per-views there. A lot of AEW's biggest TV episodes have been in Texas, but the one thing we've never brought is an AEW pay-per-view, and Lord knows there's a lot of demand for it. I think that would be a fascinating thing for us to try."

Of course, 2025 would not be considered the "immediate future", especially as there are still several months left in 2024. AEW have already revealed the remainder of their 2024 pay-per-view lineup and no huge show in Texas is currently planned. ROH Death Before Dishonor will take place at Arlington's Esports Stadium on Friday, July 26, however, as part of the AEW Collision/ROH Summer residency at the venue.
