AEW Talent Backstage At WWE NXT

More of an AEW presence on WWE NXT

An All Elite Wrestling talent was backstage at Tuesday night's episode of WWE NXT.

According to Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select, Rebel was present at the June 11 taping of WWE NXT. Why exactly Rebel was there is unknown but Fightful noted she is "personally connected to someone who works at NXT."

Rebel is still featured on the AEW roster page but she hasn't appeared on-screen for the promotion since late 2022 and she hasn't wrestled for the promotion since August of that year. The former TNA and OVW talent joined All Elite Wrestling in 2019 to work on hair and makeup but Rebel ended up becoming an on-screen character in April 2020 as Britt Baker's assistant. Rebel later also became Jamie Hayter's manager but Rebel ended up being pulled from TV after Baker and Hayter became babyfaces in early 2023.

According to reports in October 2023, AEW were considering bringing Rebel back to TV but she ultimately never resurfaced on the company's programming. Jamie Hayter has been gone from AEW TV since Double or Nothing 2023, while Britt Baker has also been away due to injury for the past several months so that may have been a factor.

While Rebel was backstage, an AEW reunion played out on Tuesday's episode of NXT as Cody Rhodes ended up bumping into his fellow AEW alumni in Ethan Page, Shawn Spears, and Lexis King.
