Chris Jericho Suffers Minor Injury At AEW Blood & Guts

Injury suffered by Chris Jericho on AEW Dynamite

Chris Jericho sustained a minor injury on the special Blood & Guts edition of AEW Dynamite from Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tennessee.

Jericho defended the FTW Championship against Minoru Suzuki on Dynamite and 'Le Champion' revealed after the match that he suffered a broken finger.

"Even though I beat @suzuki.d.minoru and retained my #FTW Title on #AEWDynamite tonight….he is completely INSANE!! HE chopped me over 100 TIMES, dropped me on my HEAD, and he BROKE MY FINGER!!!! I promise you #Suzuki you PSYCHO….this isn’t over!!! @aew #murdergrampa #TheLearningTree," Jericho wrote on Instagram.

The FTW Champion was left with a bloody chest on Dynamite as he and Minoru Suzuki spent several minutes just chopping each other over and over again. Jericho eventually recorded the successful title defence after Jericho blocked a Gotch-Style Piledriver and hit Suzuki with a Low Blow and Judas Effect for the pinfall win.

The Learning Tree faction then looked to beat down Suzuki post-match until Katsuyori Shibata made the save.

Elsewhere at Blood & Guts, Team AEW won the namesake match after Matthew Jackson quit to save a handcuffed Jack Perry from being set on fire.
