Cody Rhodes Leads AEW Reunion On WWE NXT

Cody Rhodes and more AEW alumni reunite on WWE NXT

WWE NXT featured a reunion of former All Elite Wrestling talents on Tuesday night led by Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes.

Cody Rhodes was announced for the show and he appeared in a segment with Trick Williams, revealing that the next challenger for the NXT Title will be determined in a battle royal on next week's episode. Rhodes even teased further crossover between WWE NXT and TNA, noting that some of the entrants in next week's battle royal will be from different locker rooms.

Rhodes didn't head home following his segment, though, and he ended up bumping into Shawn Spears while wandering around backstage, wishing his former AEW rival good luck in the battle royal. This prompted an appearance from fellow AEW alumni Ethan Page, who questioned why Cody didn't wish him good luck. All three men were then interrupted by Lexis King, who performed in AEW as Brian Pillman Jr., as he declared he would win the battle royal next week.

Cody ended the segment by telling them: "It seems like you guys are in a good place."

Cody Rhodes founded All Elite Wrestling with Tony Khan, The Young Bucks, and Kenny Omega in early 2019 and he was one of the promotion's EVPs until Cody's exit in February 2022. Cultaholic Wrestling took a deep dive into Cody's AEW run earlier this year.

Rhodes is set to defend the Undisputed WWE Championship this weekend at Clash at the Castle in an I Quit Match against AJ Styles.
