People Within AEW 'Dismayed' Over MJF-Britt Baker Confrontation Leak

AEW backstage reaction to news of MJF-Britt Baker confrontation leaking

There has been some backstage reaction to the confrontation between Britt Baker and MJF.

It emerged last week that Maxwell Jacob Friedman and Britt Baker had been involved in a confrontation at AEW Dynamite 250 on Wednesday, July 27. The situation began after Britt Baker reportedly buried MJF and Will Ospreay during their one-hour match over the AEW International Championship. Word then got back to MJF through his fiancee Alicia Atout and Britt Baker later allegedly called Atout a "stupid f*cking b*tch" and said she was going to get the backstage interviewer kicked out of the women's locker room.

Will Ospreay apparently spoke to Britt Baker first about why she was trying to start issues and MJF later confronted Baker in a common backstage area. MJF later punched a wall following the confrontation.

Britt Baker was suspended at some point after the incident while MJF was not suspended as the perception within AEW was he was coming to the defence of his fiancee.

Mike Johnson of PWInsider has reported "a number of people were dismayed the story even leaked, feeling it didn't help anyone that it did."

Britt Baker is reportedly scheduled to be back at AEW TV for tonight's episode of Dynamite in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. Baker is still planned to face Mercedes Moné for the TBS Championship at All In on Sunday, August 25 inside Wembley Stadium.
