Report: Kenny Omega Praised For AEW EVP Work
Omega has been focusing on his EVP duties whilst out injured
With the recent news that AEW’s Kenny Omega is undergoing/has undergone several surgeries to fix injuries sustained during the last few years, reports have emerged praising ‘The Cleaner’ for his work as an AEW EVP, a role Omega has committed more time to whilst he heals up.
The report - via Fightful Select - says that Omega has been taking his duty as EVP seriously during his in-ring absence, with Omega allegedly the one who informed Brian Cage that his contract option had been picked up.
The news comes on the back of recent reports pertaining to the hotly anticipated AEW video game, with Omega heavily involved with the games production. Due to his performance as an AEW EVP, Fightful have heard that Omega is being heavily praised for his work in the role.
There is no in-ring return date for Omega, who last wrestled at AEW Full Gear in November 2021, where he dropped the AEW World Championship to Hangman Page in the main event. After Full Gear Omega stepped away from AEW TV to heal up from myriad conditions, including knee issues, hernias and vertigo.
