The Rock To Potentially Have Another Match In 2024

The Rock’s return to the ring at WrestleMania XL Night One was a triumphant occasion for ‘The Great One’, with Rock and cousin Roman Reigns defeating the team of Seth Rollins and Cody Rhodes in the night’s main event. However, it may not be Rock’s only match in 2024.

Prior to Mania, it was reported that Rock was signed on to work two matches in 2024, and in an update in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer reported that a second Rock match could come ‘late this year’, ahead of a suspected match with Cody Rhodes at WrestleMania XLI in 2025.

The WrestleMania XL main event was Rock’s first match of note since 2013, with Rock taking on John Cena for a second time in the main event of WrestleMania XXIX. Rock did wrestle at WrestleMania 32, squashing The Wyatt Family’s Erick Rowan in seconds.

There’s no indication of who Rock could face or when in 2024. Due to Hollywood obligations, The Rock is not expected to be on WWE television for several months, with his last appearance coming on the post-Mania edition of Raw on April 8.
