WWE Expected To Sign Erick Rowan

Erick Rowan expected to sign with WWE

After being pulled from independent dates due to a rumoured WWE return, it seems as though Erick Rowan could indeed be heading back to WWE.

The former Wyatt Family member was linked with a return due to the recent suspected Uncle Howdy teases on WWE TV, and in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer seemingly confirms that the former SmackDown Tag Team Champion could be rejoining the organisation.

Meltzer says that whilst WWE haven’t officially confirmed Rowan’s impending return, the belief within the company is that Rowan will soon be back, with the Uncle Howdy/Wyatt Six connection the most likely storyline device to facilitate his return. There is no word on when or if Rowan will make his WWE return.

After exiting WWE in 2020, Rowan - using the name Erick Redbeard - made several appearances on All Elite Wrestling television to celebrate the life of his former tag partner Mr. Brodie Lee, and made a one-night return to WWE in 2023 after the passing of Bray Wyatt.

Rowan has in the past spoken of how a WWE return was ‘always an opportunity’.
