AEW Dynamite Drops To Lowest Viewership Since July

The October 27 episode of AEW Dynamite drew the show's lowest viewership since the promotion returned to a live touring schedule in July.

According to ShowBuzz Daily, Dynamite averaged 941,000 viewers on TNT, which is down 10.6 percent from the last Dynamite show which aired on a Wednesday night - the October 6 episode. The last two weeks have seen AEW Dynamite broadcast on a Saturday due to a scheduling conflict with the NHL.

This is the lowest viewership number Dynamite has drawn in its regular time slot since July 7, which was the first week that Dynamite returned to a live touring schedule following the COVID-19 Pandemic.

Dynamite also drew a 0.40 rating in the crucial 18-49 demographic which, interestingly, is actually an increase of 8.1 per cent from the October 6 Wednesday airing. A notable 24 per cent drop in the Over 50 category is the main factor in Dyamite's overall audience drop.

AEW faced significant competition for this week's Dynamite in the form of game two of the World Series, which averaged more than 10 million viewers over on Fox.

It should also be noted that the October 27 episode of Dynamite was the first time the show aired live in every time zone, which moved it outside of prime time in Western regions of the United States.
