D-Von Dudley Denies WWE Threatened To Fire Him Over ECW Reunion Show

D-Von Dudley denies a WWE rift between himself and Triple H.

Former WWE Superstar and producer D-Von Dudley recently spoke to WrestlingNews.co, and cleared up recent rumours regarding a rift between himself and Triple H. It was previously reported that the pair had fallen out over an ECW reunion appearance by D-Von - something the WWE Hall of Famer has himself now denied, stating:

"Let me just say this. No issues with Triple H. Triple H did not threaten to fire me. What a lot of people don't know is I did not speak to Hunter directly during that, but no, he did not threaten to fire me. It was just again, you know, miscommunication on the dirt sheet writers or whatever, but that was not the case. Again, I can't really go into detail right now."

D-Von did recently leave WWE following his role as a backstage producer, but indicates here that the previously reported incident is not linked to this departure.

Alongside Bubba Ray Dudley as the Dudley Boyz, D-Von formed one half of one of WWE and ECW's most successful and iconic tag teams. The pair were inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2018.
