Report: Update On Upcoming AEW Console Game

Potential release date for AEW's long-awaited console debut

Former WWE video game developer Yuke’s appears to be nearing completion of their All Elite Wrestling game, and it could arrive before the end of the year.

As reported by Fightful Select, there has already been a deadline for the inclusion of specific music, whilst a number of recent AEW talents believe they were signed to the company too late to make the cut for the roster, which is to say the AEW game may well be entering the final stages of production.

Indeed, the game is believed to currently be pegged for a provisional September 2022 release window, but release date specifics and publisher details are not currently known.

A story mode is heavily rumoured for inclusion, and Kenny Omega clearly has high hopes, saying in an interview with The Wrestling Observerwe just want the wrestling to feel like how it used to feel for the people who would play wrestling games back in the day.

Whether this purported release date proves accurate or not remains to be seen, but AEW fans will surely be expecting a strong gaming debut from wrestling game development stalwarts Yuke’s.
