Tony Khan Still Wants To Bring AEW To England

Could AEW be set for Craven Cottage?

Since AEW’s inception, fans in the UK have clamoured for the company to tour the British Isles. It was rumoured that Fyter Fest 2020 was set for the UK, until COVID-19 derailed those plans, but AEW President Tony Khan is still hopeful of bringing AEW to Britain.

Speaking on Wrestling Observer Radio, Khan said the following:

“I do want to come to England. It’s a huge part of my life. It’s a great thing we have with ITV. It’s been amazing for us. We have great wrestlers from the UK, male and female. I can’t announce exact dates, but I want to bring AEW to Craven Cottage. I think all the new additions would be the best home for AEW.”

With the Khan family owning Fulham FC, it makes sense that Khan would want to book an AEW show for Craven Cottage. With a capacity of over 20,000, and located in central London, it would make for a good venue for AEW’s first UK show, weather permitting.
