Tournament Matches For NJPW World TV Title Revealed

Brackets set for the NJPW World Television Title Tournament

Following the unveiling of a new championship at Declaration of Power on Monday, New Japan Pro-Wrestling have revealed the brackets for the upcoming tournament to crown the inaugural NJPW World Television Champion.

The tournament will begin on October 14 with first-round matches set to last until October 26. The second round will then run from October 27 until October 30 before the semifinals on November 4 at Battle Autumn. The final will be held at Wrestle Kingdom 17 on January 4. 

Matches will have a 15-minute time limit and NJPW noted they will be fast-paced. If a match reaches the 15-minute time limit, the winner will be determined by a coin toss.

  • David Finlay vs. Yoshinobu Kanemaru - October 14
  • Zack Sabre Jr. vs. Alex Zayne - October 14
  • Jeff Cobb vs. YOSHI-HASHI - October 15
  • EVIL vs. Aaron Henare - October 15
  • Taichi vs. SANADA - October 16
  • KENTA vs. Hirooki Goto - October 16
  • Tomohiro Ishii vs. Ren Narita - October 26
  • Great-O-Khan vs. Toru Yano - October 26
