AEW World Tag Team Championship Match Confirmed For Revolution

The issues within The Elite are set to explode...

All Elite Wrestling's next pay-per-view Revolution is just nine days away. So far, the young promotion has announced Jake Hager vs. Dustin Rhodes and Chris Jericho vs. Jon Moxley for the AEW World Championship will take place in Chicago, Illinois.

The AEW World Tag Team Championship match was confirmed on last night's episode of Dynamite as the opening contest was the Battle Royal to determine the number one contenders for the Tag Team titles.

The match came down to Matt Jackson of The Young Bucks and Santana and Ortiz of The Inner Circle. The Bucks Of Youth ultimately emerged victorious after Matt Jackson delivered a Superkick party to Santana, Ortiz and Sammy Guevara to put The Inner Circle out of action. With all of his remaining strength, Matt then charged at Santana to send him flying over the top rope for the win.

The Young Bucks opponents still had to be determined, however, as Hangman Adam Page & Kenny Omega took on The Lucha Brothers later in the broadcast. After a back and forth contest, The Elite members picked up the win by hitting a Buckshot Lariat, V-Trigger combo on Rey Fenix.

The Jackson brothers made their way to the ring after the match, and all four stars continued to highlight the dissension that has developed between them in recent months. Page and The Young Bucks refused to acknowledge each other, and soon after, Hangman went looking for beer in the audience.

The issues within The Elite will now seemingly explode at Revolution as Hangman Page and Kenny Omega will defend their AEW World Tag Team titles against The Young Bucks.

AEW Revolution will take place at the Wintrust Arena on February 29 in Chicago, Illinois. The announced card so far is as follows:

  • Chris Jericho (c) vs. Jon Moxley – AEW World Championship

  • Hangman Adam Page & Kenny Omega (c) vs. The Young Bucks - AEW World Tag Team Championships

  • Jake Hager vs. Dustin Rhodes
