Latest On When Eric Bischoff Will Start Working On WWE SmackDown Live

New Executive Director hasn't started just yet...

Just under two weeks has passed since Eric Bischoff was announced as the new Executive Director of WWE SmackDown Live.

While Paul Heyman, the new Executive Director of Monday Night Raw, got to work on the subsequent episode of the longest-running weekly episodic television show in history - reportedly sitting right next to Vince McMahon himself in Gorilla for much of the night and taking control of a few segments in particular - Bischoff hasn't started in his new role yet.

But per a report from Bryan Alvarez on a recent edition of Wrestling Observer Radio, Bischoff's return to work isn't too far off: “Eric Bischoff won’t be starting until next Tuesday,” Alvarez said.

“Because there is a PPV, they are going to finish the SmackDown storylines for the PPV and then Eric will get his opportunity to give some ideas.”
The SmackDown Live storylines that could come to an end on Sunday include Samoa Joe's pursuit of Kofi Kingston's WWE Championship, Bayley's defence of the SmackDown Live women's title, while the tag team division will have a triple threat match as champions Bryan and Rowan defend against New Day and Heavy Machinery.

Who knocked on Aleister Black's door is set to be revealed on tonight's show.
