This weekend at the TLC pay-per-view, a match is taking place that will shape the next few months of top-level storylines on WWE Raw.
In a TLC match with massive implications for both the winner and the loser, current General Manager Elect Baron Corbin will face Braun Strowman. If the former Lone Wolf wins, he gets full-time control of Monday Night Raw, and if the Monster Among Men wins, he gets a shot at Brock Lesnar’s Universal title at the Royal Rumble.
A report from PWInsider has confirmed that former Raw General Manager Kurt Angle will be at next week’s Raw. This would suggest that Baron Corbin is going to lose the match to Strowman at TLC, leaving a vacant managerial role on the show up for grabs.
Angle was sent home by Raw commissioner Stephanie McMahon a few months ago as she wasn’t happy with the job he was doing. Then-Constable Baron Corbin, McMahon’s lackey, took the vacant role and has held it ever since.
It’s also important to note that WWE will be taping two weeks’ worth of Raw episodes on Monday.
