With the recent rumours of Roderick Strong asking for his WWE release, some wrestling fans were wondering if ‘The Messiah of the Backbreaker’ would rejoin his former Undisputed ERA teammates in AEW if he were to leave WWE.

Strong’s reported requests were ultimately denied, but during a Q&A session at Motor City Con, Adam Cole was asked if he’d want Strong to join him in AEW:

"I would love nothing more than for Roderick Strong to come to AEW,” Cole replied. “I don't know what he's going to do, I don't know where his head is at, but he knows that he has a home in AEW. Especially with me, Bobby, and Kyle. That would be amazing.”

Strong teamed with Cole, Bobby Fish, and Kyle O’Reilly to great success during their time in WWE NXT, with The Undisputed ERA winning every title available during their run. Strong is also a Ring of Honor alumnus, having held the ROH World Championship during his run in ROH - as did O’Reilly and Cole.
