Adam Cole Reveals Major Reason He Signed With AEW

A big reason for Adam Cole

In the summer of 2021, Adam Cole was one of the most sought-after stars in professional wrestling and the former NXT Champion had the choice between re-signing with WWE or joining All Elite Wrestling.

The 32-year-old ultimately opted to join Tony Khan's promotion and he made his AEW debut at the promotion's All Out pay-per-view in September.

Speaking about his decision to sign with AEW at the Motor City Comic Con, Cold admitted "one of the biggest things" was being able to see Britt Baker more often.

"One of the biggest things was getting to be around and see Britt a lot more. At the time, our schedules were so different that there'd be some times that I'd see her for maybe half a day, one day a week. Sometimes I wouldn't see her for weeks at a time. So getting to travel with her and just being behind the curtain when she walks through after she's done a match or a promo is really nice," Cole said.

Cole and Baker have been dating since 2017 and they have also appeared on-screen together, defeating Kris Statlander and Orange Cassidy on a January 2022 episode of Dynamite.
