As 2024 draws to an end, so does the world… apparently as All Elite Wrestling presents the second annual Worlds End pay per view.
With the Death Riders backed in to a corner, and with the second ever Continental Classic tournament drawing to a close, read on as we recap everything as AEW bring the boom to Orlando, Florida.
Toni Storm def. Leila Grey - Zero Hour pre-show
An AEW PPV debut for rookie Toni Storm… I suppose. Chain wrestling to start off as the crowd chants ‘she’s a rookie’ at the three-time AEW Women’s World Champion. Storm was firmly in control but couldn’t get a three, with Leila getting a foothold into the match when avoiding a corner attack from Toni. Grey took too long after a short range dropkick, but despite Storm peppering Leila with some shots Grey took her down with a lovely cutter rolled through into a submission.
Storm fired back, almost invoked ‘Timeless’, before snapping back into it, hitting the hip attack in the corner and a fisherman’s suplex for two. Blockbuster by Leila but she was slow to capitalise, Toni kicking out at 2.99. Grey continued on the offensive, but when she attempted a roll-through suplex, ‘rookie’ Toni got the ‘upset’ with a roll-up out of nowhere for the win.
Jeff Jarrett def. QT Marshall - Zero Hour pre-show
Big boos for QT, and a big ovation for Jeff Jarrett - as it should be. Loud ‘QT sucks’ chants as Marshall levels Jarrett and does the Costco Guys BOOM dance, with Marshall mocking Jarrett and acting unfazed by the ‘King of the Mountain’. Double J turned things round with some beautiful Memphis punches, and sent Marshall to the floor as he unleashed the famous Fargo strut.
Bret’s rope European uppercut by QT restored the flow of the match in his favour, further stunning Jarrett with a beautiful handspring rebound bicycle kick for two. More Jarrett punches and a back body drop, then some old skool corner punches as Jarrett sunk 10 into QT, then followed up with an enziguri for two. Marshall remained cocky as he attempted a figure four leglock, only to be kicked off, with a follow-up top turnbuckle manoeuvre attempt reversed as Jarrett threw him down and paid tribute to former tag partner Owen hart with a Sharpshooter. Aaron Solo ran down to distract Jarrett, allowing QT to hit The Stroke… but only for two. Solo threatened to swing Jarrett’s guitar into his head but was chased off by Jay Lethal as QT and Jarrett exchanged pin attempts in the ring. Jarrett then hit the Stroke and got the win.

The Murder Machines, Lio Rush & Action Andretti def. The Outrunners & Top Flight - Zero Hour pre-show
Darius Martin quick out of the traps but was soon dominated by Brian Cage and Lance Archer, Cage looking unimpressed when Andretti and Rush tagged in. Top Flight and Action & Lio faced off as the ref restored order, the heels doing everything to halt Dante Martin’s momentum. Private Party watched on backstage as Turbo Floyd and Truth Magnum entered the ring with a pair of huge double atomic drops to Andretti and Rush.
The heels regained the advantage as Andretti got a nearfall after a standing moonsault on Truth Magnum, with Don Callis slugging Truth for good measure whilst the ref was distracted. Archer and Cage utilised quick tags to continue the punishment of Magnum, Turbo Floyd slugging Cage to allow Magnum to hit a back suplex and get the hot tag. Turbo levelled the heels with old skool punches and bodyslams, but couldn’t get Archer up. The Outrunners levelled Brian Cage with a double vertical suplex, then a double bodyslam on Archer as Top Flight entered for a pair of Predator ‘sonofabitch’ elbow drops. Cage readied for a powerbomb on Dante Martin but was cut off, as Martin and Andretti sent The Outrunners to the floor and hit a pair of tope suicidas. Top Flight met Andretti in ring with a snap German suplex, then levelled Lio with a tornado DDT. Big chokeslam by Lance Archer and a powerbomb/chokeslam combo by the Murder Machines… for two as The Outrunners made the save. Archer readied for another chokeslam but Rush got the blind tag then hit a big frogsplash on Dante Martin to steal the win for their team.
The Murder Machines and Don Callis looked unimpressed as Lio and Andretti celebrated, before AEW World Tag Team Champions Private Party came out to do the shots dance, with Action and Lio getting a shot at the champs soon.

Lexy Nair was backstage with Jeff Jarrett, Sonjay Dutt, Satnam Singh and Jay Lethal. Jarrett declared he will make a career announcement at Fight for the Fallen as his friends looked concerned.
Will Ospreay def. Kyle Fletcher - Continental Classic Semi Final
The main PPV portion of the show kicked off with the first of our two C2 tournament semi finals, with former United Empire team mates Will Ospreay and Kyle Fletcher facing off just weeks after Fletcher got a huge win over Ospreay.
Fletcher flew out the traps with a yakuza kick but missed as Ospreay teed off on the ‘Protostar’. Very fast action, Fletcher avoiding an Oscutter, Ospreay avoiding a Brainbuster, with Fletcher bailing to the floor as Ospreay stood tall after their opening gambits. Exchange of hard knife-edge chops by both men, before Ospreay dumped Fletcher to the floor and hit a running cannonball senton off the apron. Ospreay went for a step up hurricanrana off the ring steps, but Fletcher caught Ospreay and crumpled him with a vicious apron powerbomb. Fletcher then lawndarted Osreay into the barricade then taunted the fans, as Ospreay started bleeding from the forehead.
Back in ring Fletcher hit some short Kawada kicks to further open up Ospreay, then went full Jerry Lynn by wiping Ospreay’s blood across his chest and licking his fingers to loud ‘you sick f***’ chants. Ospreay went for a handspring Oscutter but was caught and lawndarted once more, this time going headfirst into the turnbuckles as ref Paul Turner checked on Ospreay. Ospreay tried swinging but the bloodless was having an effect, but he had enough wherewithal to crumple Fletcher with a big rising lariat. Big boot and standing skytwister for two for Ospreay. Stundog Millionaire by Ospreay, but Fletcher fired back with half-and-half before Ospreay pulled out a standing Spanish Fly for two as the action ramped up. Ospreay laughed through the crimson mask and hit some Kawada kicks of his own before the two exchanged chops mid-ring. Nearfall after Ospreay finally landed the Oscutter, only for Fletcher to level Ospreay with a lariat. Poison-Frankensteiner by Ospreay, but Fletcher rebounded and hit a Hidden Blade as both men went down to loud applause.
Exchange of headbutts as both men rose to their feet, Ospreay getting the last laugh with a thrust kick as Fletcher went for a diving headbutt. Ref caught Fletcher using the ropes for leverage, and as Kyle remonstarted Ospreay regrouped and nailed him with a Hidden Balde for two. Ospreay readied for a second but Fletcher pulled the ref in the way, then nailed a brainbuster…. also for two. Last Ride ligerbomb by Fletcher for two as his frustration began to show, then followed up with two running corner kicks but a second brainbuster was rolled through as Ospreay rolled into a Styles Clash for the 1-2-3, booking his spot in the final of the Continental Classic later tonight, but did he spill too much blood, and too much energy?
Kazuchika Okada def. Ricochet - Continental Classic Semi Final
Semi final two was up next, with Gold League winner Ricochet taking on Blue League runner-up and current Continental Champion Kazuchika Okada. Ricochet was rattled by the crowd heckling him, but shook it off as he levelled Okada with a dropkick to send him to the floor, only to eat a big boot from Okada as ‘The Rainmaker’ got back into the ring. Okada sat Ricochet down and ran the ropes, only to stop and deliver a condescending open hand slap to the back of Ricochet’s head to loud cheers.
Ricochet pulled Okada yambag first into the ropes then dropped him with a tope suicida as he further taunted the fans, then hit a CM Punk springboard clothesline back into the ring for two. Ricochet peppered Okada with strikes but this only angered Okada who flattened Ricochet with a big flapjack. Stiff DDT for two by Okada, but Ricochet regrouped, using his speed advantage to plant Okada then hit a lionsault and a running Shooting Star Press for two. Ricochet missed a 450 but rolled through, as Okada hoisted him for the backpack neckbreaker for two, then hit the flying elbow as an exclamation mark. Big middle finger from Okada as he readied for the Rainmaker, but Ricochet fought out, the two jockeying for position as Okada hit a dropkick, before Ricochet rolled through a Tombstone to awkwardly hit a Vertigo for two, then a top rope Shooting Star Press also for two. Flurry of kicks from Ricochet and another dropkick from Okada as both men hit the deck. Huge Rainmaker from Okada for three, and we have our C2 final - Okada vs. Ospreay.
As Ricochet sat looking angered in defeat he was again peppered with toilet paper, before Swerve Strickland made his way to ringside with a microphone. Swerve congratulated Ricochet for making it as far as he did in the 2023 C2 before mocking him for saying Ricochet would go on to win the tournament. Swerve reminded Ricochet that he vowed to embarrass him if he failed to win the tournament. Swerve talked on how Ricochet has been running his mouth since he arrived in AEW and Swerve has been cleaning up his mess. This brought out Prince Nana with a trolley full of toilet rolls as Nana handed TP out to the crowd. Swerve then rallied the crowd as he looked on to 2025, then wished Ricochet a happy new year as the crowd pelted the ring with toilet paper. Ricochet looked absolutely fuming as Nana danced on, Swerve adding “happy new year Trevor” before heading to the back.

Backstage, a fired up and bloody Will Ospreay spoke on his upcoming match with Kazuchika Okada, proclaiming he’d win the match, the tournament, and the title, and would go to Disneyland in celebration.
Mariah May (c) def. Thunder Rosa - AEW Women’s World Championship Tijuana Street Fight
Mister Cartoon style facepaint for Thunder Rosa who came to the ring complete with a chain and a piñata as she embraced her father on the front row. Mariah May also acknowledged Papa Rosa, taunting him with the title as Thunder came flying off the apron to kick this off. Mariah fired back with punches and a choke, but Rosa did not stay down long. Rosa unearthed some chairs, and two trash cans, as Mariah went up the ramp towards the back.
Rosa met the champ on the ramp for a fight as ‘The Glamour’ hit a DDT for two, before spitting tequila into Rosa’s eyes, a blinded enraged Thunder spearing Mariah through a board on the stage for two. Rosa went for a follow up attack with a trash can but got big booted, then sent rolling down the ramp before regrouping to bottle Mariah at ringside for two. In ring Rosa slammed May into the chairs then talked some smack, before Mariah regrouped to smack Rosa in the back with a chair of her own. Strike exchange mid-ring then a spinning Spicolli Driver for two by Thunder, then it was piñata time as Rosa split it to reveal thumbtacks. Package piledriver attempt thwarted as Mariah hit Mayday into the pins for two, before again taunting Papa Rosa, taking his hat and walking stick for added insult before grabbing a spool of barbed wire from under the ring and wrapping it around her knee. Running knee attempt missed as May went knee first into the ring steps, Rosa covering for two.
Thunder wailed on May with her dad’s cane then grabbed a table form beneath the ring to cheers, setting the wood up at an angle on the floor. Rosa then ran up the ramped table to hit a shotgun dropkick for two, the champ reeling from that one. In-ring Thunder choked May with the chain before setting up a chair and smashing the champ into it. Another chain choke but May got a bag of dirt and threw it into the challenger’s eyes, before hitting a Storm Zero piledriver off the apron through a table for the win.
MJF (c) def. Adam Cole - Dynamite Diamond Ring
The Kingdom were at ringside making sure the Dynamite Diamond Ring would not come into play as Cole jumped MJF on the floor. Cole readied for a Panama Sunrise but MJF bailed to the floor, only to sucked Cole in and drop him into the ringsteps. MJF shouted at the fans to ‘shut the f*** up’ as Cole bled on the floor. MJF followed up with some mocking pressups then some short digs to the forehead as he firmly established control of the bout. Cole fired back with a few punches, but MJF wasn’t phased, biting his former tag partner before locking in a sleeper hold. Powerbomb to the knee for two by MJF, but a Long Island Sunrise attempt saw MJF eat shoe leather as Cole hit a superkick. Kicks, backstabber, and an OG Final Shot for two as Cole fired back.
Panama Sunrise missed as Cole tweaked his bad ankle, MJF following up with attacks to the joint. Irish whip by MJF saw Cole crumple in pain, MJF loudly calling the three-time ROH World Champion a joke before wrapping his ankle twice around the ringpost. Cole avoided a third ringpost shot as MJF careened into the post, busting him open. Cole hit ten corner punches, a forehead bite, and a Panama Sunrise, before dropping the Boom for 2.99 as he looked stunned by MJF’s resilience. Cole went for a second Boom but MJF dropped to the mat, playing possum as he barged Cole’s knee when he again readied for the Boom.
Cole and MJF exchanged insults then started hockey fighting, MJF spitting at Cole then eating a superkick for his troubles. MJF fired back to take Cole down and lock in a Figure Four leglock, but Cole rolled over to reverse the pressure only for MJF to make the ropes. On the floor MJF acted like The Kingdom attacked him, baiting referee Bryce Remsburg who sent Bennett and Taven to the back as MJF grabbed the ring. Cole nailed a superkick then took the ring for himself as the ref was distracted, but MJF kicked Cole square in the plums then hit a Heatseeker for three.
Post-match, MJF grabbed a steel chair and re-entered the ring, vowing to ‘break Cole’s f****** leg’ like he did Roderick Strong. MJF put the chair around Cole’s ankle only for Roddy to make the save, MJF ran to the entrance, only to be met by Kyle O’Reilly, with Kyle running MJF back into the ring. Chasing the Dragon by Strong and O’Reilly, as Kyle offered his hand to Adam Cole and hugged his former Future Shock partner as Cole nailed MJF with the Dynamite Diamond Ring and placed it upon his chest.
Konosuke Takeshita (c) def. Powerhouse Hobbs - AEW International Championship
Big ‘MEAT’ chants as the bell rang, with these two meaty men exchanging forearms to the delight of this carnivorous audience, before hobbs sent Takeshita flying with a big pounce. Hobbs taunted Don Callis - who was sat at the commentary desk - as he laid into Takeshita, only for Takeshita to hit an elevated drop onto Hobbs’ bad knee on the apron. Takeshita took control of the bout with Hobbs reeling, hitting a DDT to Hobbs’ knee in the ring, and focusing his attacks on Powerhouse’s weak leg. Big apron suplex back into the ring by Takeshita, Hobbs quickly regrouping and fighting through the pain to hit a fews strikes of his own and a big running crossbody - at a cost. Meaty corner clotheslines by Hobbs and a big powerslam for two, Hobbs’ knee taking the brunt of the move as he writhed in pain.
Package Tombstone by Takeshita for two, before the two men exchanged more thunderous strikes in the ring, Takeshita ending the sequence with a big German suplex. Dustin Rhodes-esque snap powerslam by Hobbs as he avoided a big lariat, before hitting s huge lariat of his own for a nearfall. Hobbs was building momentum, but Takeshita levelled the playing field with a chopblock, then a blue thunder bomb for one as Don Callis rose to his feet in disbelief. Hobbs went up top, but as Takeshita went to meet him Hobbs’ knee gave way and he crumpled to the apron. The two regrouped as Takeshita hit a huge superplex, then a Bubba-Ray Senton off the top but Hobbs rose to hit a big spinebuster for two-and-five-sixths as the crowd erupted.
Hobbs lowered his straps and fired up, hitting a falling avalanche powerslam but again he hurt his own knee in the process. Hobbs took his knee brace off to ease the pressure on his knee, only for Takeshita to strike Hobbs’ knee, hit a straight elbow, a knee, and a front guillotine into a Raging Fire for the 1-2-3.

Renee Paquette caught up with Kazuchika Okada, who called Will Ospreay his little brother, and said he was on another level, but not his level… bitch.
Mercedes Moné (c) def. Kris Statlander - TBS Championship
Big match in-ring introductions by Justin Roberts for this one as Moné and Statlander clashed for a second time. Stat used her strength advantage to send Mercedes reeling as the champ looked exasperated from the off. Moné hit a dropkick only for Stat to kip-up into her face, Moné fighting out of a fireman’s carry to arm drag Stat to the floor for a baseball dropkick.
On the floor Moné kneed Statlander into the barricade, but when she went for a crossbody she was caught by the challenger who walked her onto the apron for a bodyslam for two. Pin attempts exchanged, before Statlander hit a bodyslam before rolling into a backbreaker, and then again into a fallaway slam to a round of applause. Statlander went for a superplex, but Mercedes fought out and hit an apron powerbomb to a big reaction, bringing the bout under her control once more. Running Meteora knees in the corner for two by Moné, but Stat soon fired back with a big lariat, only for Moné to hit a backstabber for two. Straightjacket choke and knees by Moné as Statlander struggled, the champ smiling as she readied for a Bret’s rope Meteora, only for Stat to catch her for a desperation powerbomb.
Statlander fired back with capture clotheslines and a big knee into a Chaos Theory for two. Running powerslam by Stat was thwarted, so she pivoted to hit a spinning Falcon Arrow, but could only get two as frustration washed over the challenger. Moné got a nearfall off a lovely tornado DDT, the champ seemingly as frustrated as her opponent. Three Seven Amigos hit as the crowd became unglued with ‘Eddie’ chants, Moné following up with a short frog splash but again could only get a two count for her efforts. Stat avoided another corner knee by Moné, then hit a big package piledriver for two, Statlander screaming in disbelief after Moné kicked out. Trio of jawbreakers by Mercedes then a strike exchange before the fight spilled to the floor, the ringskirt getting ripped off in the process. Moné Maker on the floor as both wrestlers collapsed on the floor in a heap, Moné breaking the standing ten count to stamp Statlander’s knee into the exposed ring frame as the ref restarted the count, before Mercedes hit a Meteora off the apron and a flurry of punches.
As the ref again began to count, Statlander removed her boot to free herself from the ring frame, catching a diving Moné and hitting an F-5 onto the apron, then a second F-5 in ring for two. Statlander slowly climbed to the top, but Moné cut her off and hit an Owen hart sitting tombstone on the apron. Statlander narrowly beat the ref’s standing ten count, an enraged Moné slapping Stat before rolling into a crossface, then transitioning into an STF, only for Statlander to reach the ropes as Moné shrieked in frustration. Mercedes hit a stiff slap, but ate a Statlander lariat but Saturday Night Fever was rolled through into a standing ankle lock by the champ. Stat rolled through into a series of pin attempts, before Mercedes rolled through into an armtrap backslide to get the hard fought win as her title reign continues.
An emotional Mercedes made her way to the back, as the fans gave Statlander a well deserved standing ovation.
Kazuchika Okada def. Will Ospreay - Continental Classic Final
Ospreay back out in a football shirt and a big bloodied bandage like Paul Ince, the ‘Billy Goat’ looking worse for wear after his blood spattered war with Kyle Fletcher earlier tonight. Jim Ross joined the commentary team for this one.
The crowd were at fever pitch as this one kicked off, Okada felling Ospreay with a big elbow only for Will to fire back with some of his own, before hitting a running hurricanrana to send Okada to the floor, then following up with a vaulting crossbody. The fight continued around the ring, Okada hitting a snap DDT on the floor, then a second for good measure. Back in ring Okada hit a third DDT for two, then mocked Ospreay with some insulting kicks to the face. Ospreay fired up and hit some stiff elbows as Okada encouraged him, then dropped him with a neckbreaker. Okada pepered Ospreay some more and went for another DDT, only for Ospreay to hit a snap suplex to stun ‘The Rainmaker’ as the fans rallied behind Will. Handspring side kick by Ospreay and a springboard elbow strike for two, but as Ospreay fired up it only gave Okada time to ready and drop his former Chaos stablemate with a flapjack.
Ospreay went up top but ate a standing dropkick by Okada, Ospreay catching his knee on the way down as the ref checked on his condition. Ospreay regrouped to send Okada into the guardrail before launching off the top with an Oscutter, then hit a second Oscutter in ring for two. Ospreay buckled Okada with a sharp chop, but Okada caught him with the over the shoulder knee neckbreaker, and the elbow drop. Rainmaker avoided, but Okada rocked Ospreay with a set of dropkicks. Ospreay powerbomb into a Styles Clash for two. Rainmaker for two, as Okada looked shocked, before slugging Ospreay with some stiff elbows. Mocking toe kicks and a headbutt by Okada as Ospreay started to bleed once more. High angle German suplex by Okada, but a second Rainmaker was turned into a Spanish Fly out of nowhere for two. Oscutter attempt countered with a dropkick, but another Rainmaker ate air as Ospreay hit a Rainmaker of his own and Stormbreaker… for two. Ospreay fought on, avoided another Rainmaker and went for a second Stormbreaker, only for Okada to roll through and plant Ospreay with another Rainmaker for the pinfall win.
Okada’s Continental Classic win gives him five major tournament wins in his career - tying the record set by Mr. G1 himself Masahiro Chono. Okada and Ospreay shook hands as Ospreay made his way to the back.
Christopher Daniels made his way to the stage to congratulate Okada, and said that he’d usually hand the title to Okada, but as of today he’s no longer an AEW EVP and cannot, before introducing a man who is an EVP - Kenny Omega. A suited Omega came out to a massive ovation, before entering the ring and handing the title to long-time rival Okada.
Jon Moxley (c) def. Orange Cassidy, Jay White, & Hangman Page - AEW World Championship
The three challengers cornered Moxley, but White and Hangman started arguing, Moxley heading to the floor as OC crushed him with a tope suicida. The three stomped and choked Moxley on the floor before Claudio Castognli and Wheeler Yuta appeared from nowhere to hoist Mox over the barricade and take him to safety. The challengers were in pursuit, as was Marina Shafir who folded Cassidy with a gut kick. Mox eventually brought Cassidy back to the ring as security took the rest of the Deathriders to the back, allowing White and Hangman to make their way back into the bout. Mox laid into OC with some stiff kicks as Cassidy rolled to the floor several times to both protect himself and anger Mox. Hangman and White grabbed Mox as OC hit an Orange Punch, then the three gave Mox a taste of his own medicine with a SHIELD powerbomb through the announce table.
Hangman reacted first to sucker punch White and OC, Page and Switchblade slugging it out in ring. Turnbuckle fallaway slam by Page onto OC for two, with Hangman asserting control over the bout as Christian Cage and The Patriarchy watched on from a box, with HOOK in an adjacent box watching The Patriarchy. Page continued his dual assault on OC and White as Mox slowly stirred, Cassidy getting some joy with a diving forearm and a Stundog Millionaire, before eating a Cuththroat Suplex from White, before Switchblade peppered Hangman with strikes and sent him reeling. Mox came back in to eat a PK from Cassidy before dropping Orange with a big cutter as blood poured down the back of his head.
Big reaction as Hangman and Mox faced off, both men slugging elbow shots as White ran in for a Bladerunner attempt on mox to no avail. Flurry of moves by all four men, Cassidy getting the last laugh with a big tilt-a-whirl DDT onto Moxley. All four men rose to their feet, but Cassidy collapsed as White fired up to slug it out with Mox and Page. Deadeye on Moxley, Orange Punches for hangman and Jay White, and one for Mox after Cassidy avoided a Deathrider attempt. Cassidy pin on Mox, Hangman, hoisting the ref out roughly to break it up. Buckshot Lariat to Cassidy, and one to Jay White, and another Deadeye on Moxley… but no referee for Page to go for a pinfall. Hangman readied for a Buckshot but Yuta delayed him as Mox grabbed a chair, only for Hangman to boot the chair then hit a Buckshot. A second ref ran in as Cassidy thwarted Hangman, White running in with a Bladerunner on Hangman then one on Moxley for two as Wheeler Yuta attacked referee Paul Turner to loud ‘f*** you Yuta’ chants. Shafir went to attack White only to eat a Bladerunner to a huge reaction, as Yuta nailed White with a Busaiku knee, as Mox hit a big Deathrider on King Switch as Claudio Castagnoli hoisted referee Bryce Remsburg into the ring to count the 1-2-3.
Post-match Claudio brought a chair for Mox as FTR’s music hit, the Top Guys making their return before the lights went out… and Adam Copeland made his return to a massive ovation as Rated FTR stared down the Deathriders as Christian Cage looked disgusted in his box. Big fight in the ring as FTR hit Shatter Machine on Yuta, before Copeland made his way into the ring to stare down Moxley to big ‘holy s***’ chants, Copeland hitting a trademark spear before stomping the middle bar from a chair and using it to crossface Moxley in the middle of the ring to send a massive message to the Deathriders.
Copeland grabbed a mic and yelled at Moxley, calling him kid, before announcing that Rated FTR were ‘taking it all’.
