Another Major Match Planned For WWE Raw Premiere On Netflix

Another major match is scheduled to take place during the WWE Raw premiere on Netflix from the Intuit Dome in Los Angeles, California on Monday, January 6, 2025.

Speaking on WrestleVotes Radio, WrestleVotes reported that the final of the Women's Intercontinental Title tournament will be held on WWE Raw's first episode on Netflix. The semi-finals of the tournament will take place during the final episode of Raw on the USA Network on December 30.

"Sources state the WWE is currently planning on having the finals of the Women's Intercontinental Championship tournament take place on the Raw Netflix debut show, we're told. WWE will look to have at least three advertised matches for that show, with one of them being for this Women's Intercontinental Championship. The semi-finals will take place in Houston the week before, with the finals in Los Angeles," WrestleVotes said.

In addition to the final of the Women's Intercontinental Title tournament, CM Punk vs. Seth Rollins is reportedly planned for Raw's premiere on Netflix, while Roman Reigns is believed to be scheduled to have a Raw match for the first time since 2022 on January 6. The Rock and John Cena are also reportedly planned to appear on the show.

WWE Raw will premiere on Netflix as part of a 10-year deal worth $5 billion. Only Raw will air on Netflix in the United States but the deal is far more expansive internationally with SmackDown, NXT, and WWE premium live events set to air on the streaming service. WWE's library of content will be extremely limited on Netflix, however.
