Asuka was nowhere to be seen at WWE's house shows over the weekend.

The former SmackDown Women's Champion has been ever present on WWE's live events in 2024 and she has worked 14 house show matches since the turn of the year. Asuka was even in action at WWE's Road to WrestleMania house shows on March 9 and March 10, teaming with Damage CTRL faction mates IYO SKY and Kairi Sane in losses to Bianca Belair, Naomi, and Zelina Vega.

Asuka was absent from WWE's house show on March 16 in Augusta, Georgia and from the live event on March 17 in North Charleston, South Carolina, however. Both shows instead featured Kairi Sane and IYO SKY in tag team action as they were defeated by Bianca Belair and Naomi.

There has been no official confirmation on Asuka's status. The WWE Women's Tag Team Champion appeared to suffer an injury during a Damage CTRL beatdown of Bayley. Asuka was shown heavily limping during the final stages of SmackDown.

Asuka has been one-half of the WWE Women's Tag Team Champions with Kabuki Warriors partner Kairi Sane since January 26. The WWE Women's Tag Team Titles have been cursed in recent years due to injuries.
