Asuka Vs. Bayley Announced For Monday's WWE Raw

A continuation of recent events...

The Raw and SmackDown Women's champions will square off on this Monday's episode of WWE Raw, as Asuka goes one on one with Bayley.

Bayley is also co-holder of WWE's Women's Tag Team titles, and partner Sasha Banks will challenge Asuka for the Raw Women's title at Extreme Rules: The Horror Show, on Sunday, July 19.

Asuka recently insinuated herself into Banks' match with NXT Women's champion Io Shirai on Wednesday's NXT Great American Bash. Shirai won following Asuka's intrusion.

Asuka and Bayley have met previously in a rather notable match. It was Asuka who ended Bayley's seven and a half month reign as NXT Women's champion on April 1, 2016. Asuka herself held the title for a record 510 days before vacating the gold in August of 2017, due to a collarbone injury.

Bayley and Banks will also be in tag team action next week, as they face Alexa Bliss and Nikki Cross in a non-title match on next Friday's episode of SmackDown. A match between Bayley and Bliss on tonight's SmackDown ended in a disqualification.
