HOOK was originally planned to become a champion on Wednesday night's Spring BreakThru edition of Dynamite.

HOOK was originally set to team with his Opps stablemates Samoa Joe and Katsuyori Shibata to take on The Death Riders for the AEW World Trios Titles, but HOOK was taken out of the match in an attack from the Death Riders before Dynamite. The former FTW Champion was replaced by Powerhouse Hobbs, and the challenging trio won the belts after Samoa Joe choked out Jon Moxley.

Fightful Select has reported that the title change was decided upon well before HOOK's injury, meaning he would have become an AEW World Trios Champion with Samoa Joe and Katsuyori Shibata.

HOOK was pulled from the match due to a physical issue, Fightful noted. Hobbs was told on Wednesday that he would be replacing HOOK in the AEW World Trios Title match.

HOOK was unwell on last week's Dynamite, vomiting in the ring following the main event. It has been reported that HOOK didn't suffer a concussion, however.
