Vince McMahon is accused of sex trafficking, sexual assault, and physical and emotional abuse by Janel Grant - with one of the more graphic allegations being that McMahon defecated on Grant - but that doesn't mean John Cena loves him any less.

Cena has continually expressed his love for Vince McMahon in recent years when asked about the sexual misconduct allegations against the former WWE CEO. He has now done so again, this time with the New York Times. Cena has even said he doesn't care who hears about his love for McMahon.

"I don't care who hears it: I love Vince. I'm not downplaying anything that needs to be decided or allegations of any kind, but when I love somebody, I love them wholeheartedly. I know people are going to be angry about that, but they can't put their value on my relationship with somebody I love," Cena said.

It was noted in the Summer of 2024 that John Cena is one of the few people from WWE whom McMahon considers a friend and is in contact with.

Vince McMahon is no longer involved in the day-to-day running of WWE following his resignation as TKO Executive Chairman in the wake of Grant's allegations. He remains a major TKO shareholder, though, owning approximately 4.06 per cent of the company.
