Backstage News On Jason Kelce's WWE WrestleMania 40 Appearance

Details on Jason Kelce's cameo at WrestleMania 40

Following his retirement at the end of the 2023 NFL season, Jason Kelce followed it up with a major appearance at a massive sporting event as he made a cameo during WrestleMania 40 Saturday last night. Alongside former Eagles teammate Lane Johnson, the pair interfered to help Rey Mysterio & Andrade defeat Dominik Mysterio & Santos Escobar in a tag team match.

Sporting Rey Mysterio masks, they revealed themselves after the bout had ended. This comes after Kelce was shown sporting a Mysterio mask following his Super Bowl victory, during celebrations. This appearance wasn’t something that came together last minute, though, as a report from Fightful Select has revealed the behind the scenes details of how all this happened.

Kelce & his team reportedly reached out to The Monster Factory to “document his journey” to WrestleMania XL, with him actually training for this moment, with the pair (Kelce & Johnson) spending “hours” training to get ready. It was noted that he and Johnson didn’t take this WrestleMania appearance lightly, being respectful and taking time to train, with both showing an interest in a potential return in the future.
