Big Damo Wins PROGRESS World Title

Damo captures the gold in Sheffield

Big Damo is the new PROGRESS World champion, after defeating Chris Ridgeway at PROGRESS Chapter 137 on Saturday in Sheffield.

For the former Killian Dain, it's his first time holding the PROGRESS World title. He becomes the fourth person to hold the championship in 2022, following Cara Noir, Jonathan Gresham, and Ridgeway.

Ridgeway's reign as champion ends after just 69 days, and in his second defense. He became champion on June 5, defeating Warren Banks in the  Super Strong Style 16 tournament final to capture the belt that Gresham vacated the previous month.
