Big E Provides Update On His Recovery

Big E has been out for several months now after suffering a broken neck

Nearly two months have past since Big E broke his neck, and the former WWE Champion has given an update on his recovery.

Taking to Twitter, Big E said the following:

“For those desirous of an update, my C1 apparently isn’t healing optimally. I’ll spend another 4-6 weeks in a brace in hopes that I can avoid a fusion. But don’t you fret! I’ve got a tremendous support system & what shall be shall be.”

Big E suffered the injury after landing awkwardly after a belly-to-belly suplex on the floor from Ridge Holland, with doctors fearing that the New Day member may never wrestle again. Indeed, the nature of the injury was so severe that E revealed that he “narrowly escaped a stroke, paralysis or death”.

Neck breaks are no laughing matter at the best of times, and those lucky wrestlers who manage to recover and come back from such injuries will have to drastically change their in-ring style, come to terms with the fact that their careers will be greatly shortened as a result, or a combination of the two.
