Brock Lesnar Reveals Why He Wanted To Face Omos At WWE WrestleMania 39

Brock Lesnar on why he wanted a WrestleMania 39 match with Omos

Brock Lesnar was in action in the opener of WrestleMania 39 night two on Sunday, April 2 as The Beast Incarnate defeated Omos in a five-minute clash of the titans with an F5.

The match was heavily criticised during the build to WrestleMania 39 but Lesnar revealed to ESPN ahead of the show why he wanted to face Omos.

"I liked this matchup when it was proposed to me, because I just like the David and Goliath. Some people look at me like the Goliath, and just the sheer size difference in this human being. I approach this like it's one of them things where it's me giving back to the business now. Giving back and wanting to intrigue these young men that want to become and do what I've done over the years. The roles have reversed a bit, and I'm enjoying it," Lesnar said.

"I'm excited for the match tonight. It's a challenge. It's a challenging match. This guy is big, he moves well, and I don't know if I can even get him over my head. It was just something that was proposed and I don't make the calls around here."

WrestleMania 39 was just the latest loss in a big match for Omos, with the big man having previously lost feuds to Bobby Lashley and Braun Strowman over the past year.

What WWE's future plans are for Brock Lesnar is unknown as of the time of writing.
