Bully Ray Claims He Had Run-In With 'Punk-Ass Kid' Jack Perry

Bully Ray allegedly disrespected by Jack Perry

CM Punk isn't the only wrestler who had an issue with Jack Perry while the former Jungle Boy was in the United Kingdom in 2023.

Perry and CM Punk infamously had a backstage altercation at All In following Jack Perry's "It's real glass. Go cry me a river" line during his pre-show match with HOOK. The two talents had an issue over a planned spot on an episode of AEW Collision but the matter was believed to be settled, only for Perry to take offence after CM Punk's side leaked details of the incident to the media. The backstage altercation led to Perry's suspension and Punk's firing.

CM Punk detailed his side of the All In altercation during an appearance on the MMA Hour, claiming he thought he was trying to do the responsible thing by choking somebody "a little bit." The interview was recapped on Busted Open, during which Bully Ray claimed he had his own run-in with Jungle Boy during a visit to the United Kingdom last year.

"This is a snot-nosed kid problem. This is a punk-ass kid problem, and I believe every single last word that (CM) Punk is saying about Jack Perry because I had my own incident with Jack Perry in England a year ago and there wasn't really an incident because if there was an incident, Jack Perry wouldn't be around anymore. Jack Perry, came off, to me, like a very disrespectful young wrestler. Especially when I went out of my way to introduce myself to him and extend my hand with a smile on my face and I was treated like a young boy by Jack Perry," Bully Ray claimed.

"Blown off, disregarded, and I see you (David LaGreca) shaking your head right now and as God is my witness, should the good Lord strike me down with lightning, I'm telling you the truth. So when I hear these stories about Jack Perry, like Punk saying he carried himself and he disrespected when he wasn't listening to an authority figure like the doctor or he wasn't listening to an authority figure like Tony Schiavone or anybody else, I believe them, because I witnessed the disrespectful behaviour myself."

Jack Perry has not been back on AEW TV since All In. He reportedly asked for his release in late 2023 but that request was rejected. Perry is currently a part of New Japan Pro-Wrestling, a deal set up through his affiliation with AEW.
