Chris Hero Set For In-Ring Return

Chris Hero will be wrestling for the first time in over three years

Chris Hero hasn’t wrestled since 2020 when he competed on WWE’s NXT UK brand in a number one contenders battle royal, just prior to the pandemic shutting things down. Hero was among those who was let go from WWE, and he didn’t end up getting back into the fold with another promotion.

He has recently found himself working in AEW in a backstage capacity as a producer, with Tony Khan even revealing that he had tried to get Hero back in the ring for a return match after signing him in July.

Hero will in fact be returning to the ring, but it won’t be in AEW. During a West Coast Pro Wrestling event last night, Hero came to the aid of JT Thorne after Timothy Thatcher issued a beatdown after the bell. After fending off Thatcher in a brawl, he took to the mic and asked Thatcher what he was doing on November 17th. He revealed that “Knockout Artist” Chris Hero would be returning to the ring at the West Coast Pro Wrestling’s Whiplash show, with “Matchmaking” Chris Hero staying at home.
