Chris Jericho Claims WWE Higher-Ups Want Him To Form A Faction With Kevin Owens & Sami Zayn
Does someone in WWE want to see the three Canadians form a faction?
Current AEW and former WWE star Chris Jericho has hinted that some 'higher ups' want him to form a faction with current WWE stars Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens.
Responding to a fan who suggested the potential trio on Twitter, Jericho responded by saying; "Hmmm…well Some higher ups want that to happen sooner than later! #tampering".
The use of '#tampering' is seemingly a reference to recent reports that WWE have been reaching out to (unnamed) contracted AEW talent about returning to the company.
According to one report, a 'notable' AEW star who was approached subsequently referred the incident to AEW management. The talent informed AEW that they were happy there and had no intention of leaving the promotion, and AEW subsequently issued a warning to WWE's Tony Khan and Stephanie McMahon about contract tampering.
Jericho and Owens famously formed the Jeri-KO tag team in 2016, which led to a breakup and eventual feud and matches between the two, including a United States Title match at WrestleMania 33.
